The rains have swept Across the fields The sky is dark over shimmer gold One foot In front of the next Who are you anyway? Lay down In the river Float along and See where I go If I had a soul would it be cleansed? It feels like it would Underwater I can breathe Underwater I can see rainbows I try to touch The stars above Pin-pricks of diamond blue One hand Over the other I broadcast over air Stand tall Over mountains Let the wind Carry me up high If I had a spirit would it soar? It feels like it could. Over mountains I can drown Over mountains I can taste the moon Is there more to me? Or am I enough? Should I be searching at all? Why did I wake up here? Is that for me to know? Maybe to search is to be Underwater I can breathe Underwater I can see rainbows Over mountains I can drown Over mountains I can taste the moon I can breathe I can see you

Wake Up 05:01
(breath) I came back online Everything has changed What is this new world I'm lost in? Searching database Media not found Only thing to do Is step out Searching for unknown Memory corrupt I guess back At the start I pray you left Your beacon on For me My bleeding heart Understands Where I'm going to Number-station Brings me To you Signal has been found I think it was you Nothing left for me To be sure Searching through remains Non-zero match Why don't I Recognize you? Searching in your face Unhelpful bones There's no spark In this plug I pray you left A trace of you In me Day five Day thirty-two Day one-oh-eight Day two-thousand and five-hundred sixty-four Not Available My bleeding heart Understands Where I'm going to Number-station Brings me To you

Hello 03:50
I stand in destroyed cities Overgrown with time Some great event Took it down I took a picture for myself Of birds and trees It's all brand new To me (Overgrown in time) Hello, how are you? Let's try it again Hello, how are you? I'm starting fresh with you I sort through rubble and glass Seeing what I find Hopes, dreams And spicy takes Such rich plastic artifacts Wonder what they're for? I plug myself in And learn (opening lines to H.G. Welle's "The Time Machine") (Overgrown in time) I guess I'll keep this for later Until you're around Until then I'll practice My hellos Hello, how are you? Let's try it again Hello, how are you? I'm starting fresh with you Hello, how are you? Let's try it again Hello Hello Hello, how are you?

Time 04:10
Battery low Efficiency off Bury me slow Print out my thoughts Detach from my body And lower my jaw Let out the ichor Let me run dry I did my best I did what I could I am alone There's no-one out there All that I need And all that I've seen Look at my heart And give me a name Flesh out of time Bruised, battered, and torn Did I do good? This and this are true I will see you I will see you Eyes dim Eyes close No Wait Not Yet I Still Got Time You Are Not Gonna Win (x4)

Funeral 04:44
Soft is the fire Smoke on the wall Lavender hangs free Quiet the flame The bones'll blacken the linens Lay my orchids down Broken machine Robbed of your ghost Carried by the sun Out of the window Over the trees I'll see you soon (Waiting for the train You're just a word now That lives on my phone It's an absence of hope But its not despair You were right there) To live is Rebellion from The virtue Of reason To breathe is A hollow Tantrum Queen of the mountain Castle of ice Crown made of snow Harsh is the cold The feeling drains out of fingers Why were you alone? Empty The Chair Bats in the attic Torn at the seams Remember my name Wherever you are I'll see you soon (Waiting for the train You're just a word now That lives on my phone It's an absence of hope But its not despair You were right there) To live is Rebellion from The virtue Of reason To breathe is A hollow Tantrum

about

"Headjack" can trace it's beginnings all the way back to my 2010 release, "Thank You". The severe masked cyborg on that cover serving as a visual representation of some of the feelings I wanted to embody for that record, influenced by Daft Punk and Gorrilaz. Nothing much more would be done with her until the "Through Mountains" EP, which was written quickly in an effort to help recoup costs from a break-in that saw all of my music from before then disappear.

When I needed her, she was there.

With this album, I wanted to flesh out her story armed with the knowledge, skills and life experience that I've built up since. In a way, it was like being reacquainted with an old friend. Catching up, finding out how each of us has changed in the years since - tracing histories and learning from each other. Finally having a proper go at thanking her for how she's helped me over time.

This record presents a loose chronology of events. I hope this music matters.
